Writers get terribly tired of hearing that they need to promote themselves. After all, we didn’t start writing because we love marketing. We did it because we love storytelling and words and creating something from nothing. Despite that, we have to try to get our work in front of people so they can enjoy it. Here is a link to an article about good hashtags for writers that I am using now to try to make my tweets etc more effective. As I have said to friends before, sometimes promotion feels like throwing a bucket a hot water into the ocean and expecting it to make the ocean warmer. But I’m trying anyway! Thanks for reading!

Blizzard Before and After Writing Nook
During the blizzard today, I began the process of cleaning out my guest room which is also my writing room. I am posting before and afters of the book shelf area below. The before picture is actually after I started pulling stuff off the shelves. Usually, the floor is clear but the shelves become a dumping ground for everything else in the house that has no home. So here it is! Feeling like I accomplished something even if it’s not writing.
